Have you ever spent time building a business plan for your real estate business?
Creating a 90 Day Plan for your Real Estate Business provides you structure to get a lot done in a short amount of time.
Most real estate agents spend time thinking about how many transactions they want to close in a year.
While this is better than not having a goal, the 90 day plan is a much better way to approach your real estate business.
The problem with the annual transaction goal provides too much time for us.
When we look at twelve months it appears that we have more time than we actually do.
We tend to slack off during the first six months and then start to get anxious during second half of the year.
However, the 90 day time period is the a long enough period that we have time to work on big projects that are meaningful for our business.
Additionally, 90 days is a short enough period that we can maintain work intensity because we don’t have time to dilly dally.
The first step to creating a 90 day plan is to look at your business in the following three segments:
- Lead generation
- Operations
- Money
Now it’s time to pick one big project to work on for the next 90 days for each of the segments.
Now it’s time to assign one person to be in charge of each project.
If you are the only person in your real estate business, then you need to decide which of your three projects is the most important to complete in the next 90 days.
You will have more progress it you get one of your projects 100% done than if you get each project 33% done.
Now that you chosen your three projects, it is time to create a list of the top items that need to be completed for each of your three projects.
Next you will need to have a measurement system that documents your progress on each project.
This measurement system could be as simple as a checklist.
Keep the measurement system as simple as possible.
Simple is always better.
Now each week you will review your three projects and gauge your progress on the projects.
Write down answers to the following three questions for each project:
- What is going well with this project?
- What roadblocks am I facing with this project?
- How can I remove the roadblocks?
Now determine what you will do this week to move forward with your projects.
At the end of 90 days you will need to review your progress on your projects.
You will review the wins you had with your projects.
You will examine the roadblocks that prevented you from completing the project.
Now you will repeat the process for the next 90 days.
Each 90 days you will be incrementally improving your business with focused effort on a few big projects that will better your business.
