Too often in life we get caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle.
I often refer to this is getting caught up in the weeds.
I’ve also heard it referred to as no seeing the forest for the trees.
Too often in life we lose sight of what is important.
We’re either living for tomorrow or yesterday.
When we live for the future we get caught up in worry and anxiety.
When we live in the past, we surround ourselves with regret.
We embrace the gift that is today.
Tomorrow will take care of itself.
We have to leave yesterday behind us.
There is only one way to live and that is to live today.
Today is all we have.
When we live today, we live in the present.
The surest way to ground ourselves in the present is to take some time to express gratitude for what we have.
When we center ourselves in gratitude, we change our lives.
Gratitude heals our broken souls.
With gratitude we recognize that we have more and are more than we often give ourselves credit for.
Gratitude is like a compass that always points to true north.
When we are engulfed in the cloud of confusion that so often accompanies life, we can look to gratitude to center us on what truly matters.
Gratitude is the key to knowing where we are.
